Nicodemus Nayilibidj is the son of Ruth and Nelson Nayilibidj. He grew up in Gunbalanya, (Oenpelli) and was taught to paint by world renowned artists, Bobby Nganjmirra, Thompson Yulidjirri as well as Djawida Nadjongorle at Injalak Art Centre.
